Main Switchboard for Primary School in Edinburgh
Northern Switchgear recently won the contract to design and manufacture a new switchboard for a primary school in Edinburgh. The School was undergoing a complete refurbishment of all its mechanical and electrical installations.
We designed a new Form 4 Type 2 board to replace the current board complete with surge protection and metering. As this was an upgrade installation the client required easy connection of existing circuits to the new panel. To get around this issue we installed a termination chamber which had all outgoing MCCBs pre-wired to it. This meant that the client could simply connect their existing circuits to the corresponding terminations without having to wire to the MCCB.
